The Farm The Garden For the pleasure of your senses, we look after our garden with patience. But it is also for our pleasure that little by little the whole property is becoming covered with vegetation. The flower-filled courtyard is a pleasant haven of peace; traditionally this is what gives life to the “Clos d’Orret”. It is the central point where everything happens and where everyone passes. Stepping stones guide you from one place to the other. The flowers and shrubs with their glistening array of colours enrich the historical stone setting. The esplanade at the southern end of the rural buildings, overlooking a view of the Val de Seine, is an area for relaxation and games. The garden bordering the fields is in full development and surrounds two areas favourable for meditation until sunset or perhaps even by moonlight. The large vegetable garden, enclosed with drystone walls, offers crisp salads, perfumed tomatoes for your palatable pleasure, and flowers of all colours. In olden days a square pigeon house stood on its western side, which could still be seen on the registered plans of the middle of the last century; proof of the importance of the property at the end of the Middle Ages. |
